Clear Seoul Eye Clinic has not published a fee schedule we could find, so there are no prices on this page. It is not a partner clinic. We are not paid by them, they had no say in this page, and everything here comes from public filings and the clinic’s own site. 6 things we wanted to tell you are still unconfirmed, and they are listed at the bottom rather than glossed over.

Every item above says how we know it. “We checked this” means we found it in a public filing or on the clinic's own site and read it ourselves. “The clinic says this” means it is the clinic's claim and we could not verify it independently — it is still worth knowing, but it is not the same thing. Platforms that show you a wall of badges without that distinction are showing you marketing copy in the shape of a fact.
Clinic introduction
An eye clinic three minutes from Gangnam Station, which matters more than it sounds — laser vision correction needs a same-week follow-up before you fly, so distance from where you are staying is part of the decision. It offers the full range from SMILE through implantable lenses, and also treats cataract, glaucoma and dry eye, meaning the consultation can end in "you are not a candidate" rather than a sale.

Medical directors and specialists 1
The question foreign patients ask most is which board a doctor is certified by. We print what is publicly stated and nothing more.
- Lim Tae-hyung (임태형)Board not confirmed
Listed as the clinic’s director. We could not independently confirm the ophthalmology board certification or where the training was done, so we are not printing it as fact. Ask for it — eye surgery is the one field where a foreign patient can and should check the board.

“English-speaking” covers three different experiences: a dedicated coordinator who handles your case, an interpreter called in for the consultation, and a translation app on a tablet. We do not collapse them into one word.
Videos
No video from this clinic yet. A walkthrough of the actual rooms answers questions a photograph cannot — how far the treatment room is from the front desk, whether anyone at reception speaks to you in English, what the recovery area looks like. We film these ourselves rather than reusing a clinic's promotional reel, which is why there are none here yet.
What we could not confirm
- Which specialty board the doctor is certified by. This is the single most useful thing to ask when you contact them.
- Prices for the aesthetic procedures the clinic advertises. Only the legally disclosed schedule is public.
- Whether English support is a coordinator, an interpreter, or an app.
- How many Western patients they have treated.
- How far ahead you need to book.
- Whether foreign patients pay the same as local patients. Worth asking directly — some clinics price the same and some do not, and the ones that publish prices are the ones you can check.
We publish gaps rather than filling them with assumptions. If you are this clinic and want these answered, ourmarketingad@gmail.com.
