HOW WE SHORTLIST / STANDARDS, NOT LISTINGS

Standards first. Names in private.

This page explains how a private shortlist is built, what each check can confirm, and where the limits are. No clinic, salon, practitioner or brand is named here.

We do not publish a provider list. A shortlist is prepared for one brief at a time and shared privately with the person who asked for it. Nothing here is an endorsement, a ranking or a medical recommendation, and no provider is risk-free.

01 / VERIFICATION CRITERIA

What we check, and what it proves.

Each check answers a narrow question. We record what matched, what did not, and what stayed unconfirmed.

BEFORE A NAME IS SHARED

Six checks, and their limits.

A check that passes is not a guarantee, and a record we could not confirm is presented as unconfirmed rather than quietly dropped. Clinical suitability is decided by the treating clinician, never by us.

Ask how your shortlist is built
01

Identity & operating record

Business identity, whether the place is currently operating, and whether the practitioner you would actually see is the one described to you.

02

Address cross-check

Location details compared against public map records. A match confirms where a place is, not how good it is.

03

Official-site match

Details compared with the provider’s own official channels. Anything that does not match stays flagged as unconfirmed.

04

Concern evidence

Publicly available signals worth weighing are logged, kept and shown to you when they are relevant to your brief.

05

Clinician & role

We ask who would consult, treat and provide follow-up, and keep qualifications separate from clinic marketing. A title is recorded with its source, not treated as proof on its own.

06

Product, device & consumables

Where relevant, the exact product, device model, amount, tip or single-use consumable is requested in writing. Provider-stated details stay labelled as provider-stated until supported.

PRIVATE PROVIDER DOSSIER / PREVIEW

A name arrives with context.

Each private candidate is handed over with a compact evidence file. The labels show what was confirmed in writing, what came from the provider and what still needs an answer.

02 / WHAT REVIEWS CANNOT SETTLE

Popularity is not verification.

Reviews can be incentivised, filtered, translated or written by people whose goals are different from yours, and we cannot confirm that any individual review is authentic. We read them as a weak signal: repeated, specific complaints matter more than a star average, and a high rating is never treated as proof of safety or skill.

03 / PRICE & TERMS CHECKS

A number is not yet a price.

Before anything is arranged we ask for the scope behind the figure: what is included and excluded, whether facility, anaesthesia or consumable fees are separate, how revisions and cancellations are handled, which currency and payment method apply, and whether the quote can change at the in-person consultation. We ask for it in writing and pass it to you unedited.

  • Possible changesWhat can change after consultation
  • Service relationshipOur fee and any referral relationship

04 / AFTERCARE & LANGUAGE CHECKS

What happens after you fly home.

We confirm who you contact after the visit, how follow-up works once you are abroad, what aftercare or dressing steps are expected, and whether language support means a live human interpreter or translated text. We report what a provider offers and where the gaps are, rather than promising support on their behalf.

COMEDI organises the handoff. Medical instructions must come from the treating clinic and do not become COMEDI medical advice.

05 / HOW NAMES REACH YOU

Privately, and with the relationships disclosed.

Names are shared with you privately, only after we check fit against your brief and confirm terms. When we hand them over we also tell you any referral, introduction or commission relationship we have, before you book, and we explain what we could not verify. Commission never decides who is on your shortlist, and it never substitutes for a clinician’s judgement.
