START WITH THE CONCERN

Which one is for what you actually want?

Most people arrive with a product name from social media. The doctors we work with start from the concern instead, and sometimes the answer is a different treatment, or none.

Congestion and blackheads

Usually discussedAqua peel: cleansing, not glass skin

Enlarged pores and uneven texture

Usually discussedFractional laser such as Pico Fraxel

Newer. Ask what evidence the clinic has

“Glass skin” is a look, not a single procedure. Clinics bundle different things under the name, which is why quoted prices vary so widely. Ranges observed across Seoul clinics in August 2026, widened in October 2026 to include partner clinic list prices (pending confirmation).

BEFORE AND AFTER

Real patients, with the clinic named

Read this first: every pair below was photographed on one day. The “after” is minutes after treatment. For injected volume that is the result. For devices, lasers and botox it is not; the label on each photo says which.

RECOVERY AND YOUR FLIGHT

What the days after look like

  1. Day 0

Small injection bumps across the face if you had the injectable version. Redness for a few hours.

  2. Day 1–2

Bumps settle. Skin looks plumper and reflects light more.

  3. Week 2–3

Peak effect from a single session.

  4. Week 4–6

Fades. This is a maintenance treatment, not a one-off fix.

HONESTLY

When we would tell you not to book it

  • You expect a permanent change. The effect lasts weeks, not months.
  • You booked an aqua peel expecting glass skin. Cleansing facials do not produce it — ask specifically whether anything is being injected.
  • You have active inflamed acne. Treat that first; injecting through it spreads bacteria.
  • Your real concern is texture or scarring. Rejuran or a fractional laser addresses that; a hydrating booster does not.
  • A clinic offers a ten-session package on your first visit. Do one and see how your skin responds.

HOW WE CHOOSE YOUR CLINIC

We vet the clinics first.
Then we match you to the doctor.

Seoul has hundreds of clinics selling glass skin treatments. We work with a short list that meets five conditions, and introduce you to the one or two doctors who fit your concern, your dates and your budget.

  1. 01

The consulting doctor is the treating doctor

We ask every clinic who actually holds the needle. A clinic that hands you to someone else after the consultation does not make our list.

  2. 02

Product, device and dose are named

“Premium booster” is not an answer. We only work with clinics that tell you the brand, the volume and the machine before you sit in the chair.

  3. 03

A written quote, per unit or per cc

So you can compare two clinics on the same scope rather than two totals that measure different things.

  4. 04

A doctor willing to say “not this”

We listen for it in consultations we sit in on. A clinic that agrees to everything is selling, not advising.

  5. 05

Someone to contact after you fly home

A named contact and channel for follow-up questions, agreed before treatment rather than discovered after.

HOW IT WORKS

From your brief to the consultation room

  1. 01

    Your brief

Your concern, what you want to keep, your dates and your budget. No photo required.

  2. 02

    Two or three doctors

From clinics we have already vetted, chosen for your concern and your timeline, not whoever pays most.

  3. 03

    Written quotes, side by side

Same scope, per unit or per cc, with anything not included listed.

  4. 04

    With you on the day

An interpreter in the consultation room, and the option to walk away.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK

Glass skin treatments: the short answers

What is a Korean glass skin facial?

Usually a skin booster injection — hyaluronic acid or polynucleotide placed just under the surface so skin holds water and reflects light. Clinics also sell cleansing facials under the same name, which is not the same thing.

How much does it cost in Korea?

$35–$240 for a single injectable session, $30–$150 for an aqua peel. A three-session programme runs $280–$620.

How long does it last?

Four to six weeks from one session. It is maintenance, which is why Koreans book it monthly rather than once.

Can I get it done the day before an event?

No. Injection bumps take a day or two to settle. Book three to four days ahead at minimum.

Is it the same as a hydrafacial?

No. A hydrafacial cleans and hydrates the surface. The glass-skin effect comes from placing hydrating material into the skin. Ask which one you are being sold.

What is the difference from Rejuran?

Rejuran repairs and thickens over a course of sessions. A water-shine booster hydrates for a few weeks. Different jobs, often done together.
