Clinics define “an area” differently, which is the main reason quotes are hard to compare. Ask exactly which zones are included. Ranges observed across Seoul clinics in August 2026.
Clinic-by-clinic prices are being collected. Clinics that decline to publish a price are not listed. Until then the table above is the market range we observed.
Liposuction vs. the alternatives

| Fat dissolving injection | Deoxycholic acid | Very small pockets, no surgery | $120–$380 / session |
What the days after actually look like
- Day 0–3Compression garment day and night. Drainage from the incisions. Soreness like a deep bruise.
- Day 7–10Sutures out. Still swollen and hard in places. Earliest most surgeons clear you to fly.
- Week 3–6Swelling drops noticeably. Lumpiness is normal here.
- Month 3–6Final contour. Compression is worn for weeks, not days — plan for that.
Plan your trip around this. Clinics will book you whenever you ask; they will not reorganise your holiday for you.
Before and after
We do not have liposuction before-and-after photographs yet. When we do, every one will carry the clinic's name, how long after the procedure it was taken, and whether the two photographs were shot under the same lighting. We do not retouch them, and we do not publish a photograph without the patient's written consent.
Sites that show polished results without those details are usually showing you stock or AI-generated images rather than patients. We would rather show you nothing here than that.
Who should not have this
- You want weight loss. Liposuction removes contour, not weight, and a surgeon who agrees otherwise is not being straight with you.
- Your skin has poor elasticity. Removing fat under loose skin leaves loose skin. Ask whether you need a tightening procedure instead or as well.
- You are staying under ten days for anything beyond chin liposuction.
- You will not wear compression for the full period. It determines the result more than most people expect.
- A clinic quotes “full body” without listing which zones. That word means different things at different prices.
- You are hoping fat-dissolving injections will do the same job. They will not; they are a different, much weaker treatment.
Questions people actually ask
How much is liposuction in Korea?
$1,200–$3,500 per area. Two areas run $2,500–$5,500, and staged full-body work $5,000–$9,000.
How long do I need to stay?
Ten days for body areas. Chin liposuction alone can be done in five to seven.
How long do I wear compression?
Typically four to six weeks, the first two continuously. This is the part people underestimate and it affects the result.
Will the fat come back?
Removed fat cells do not return, but remaining cells enlarge if you gain weight. The contour holds only if your weight does.
Is it cheaper than at home?
Significantly. One area runs $3,000–$7,000 in the US. The gap is wider here than for most facial procedures.
What about loose skin afterwards?
Liposuction does not tighten skin. If elasticity is poor, ask specifically whether you need excision or a tightening device — and be sceptical if the answer is that it will “bounce back”.
