Eye corner surgery in Korea: inner, outer or none at all

Eye corner surgery changes the distance between your eyes and the shape of the corners, and it is hard to reverse. A good consultation measures your eyes first and is willing to say a corner procedure is not needed. Seoul price: $355–$1,070.

START WITH THE CONCERN

Which one is for what you actually want?

Most people arrive with a product name from social media. The doctors we work with start from the concern instead, and sometimes the answer is a different treatment, or none.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Real patients, with the clinic named

Photographs for this treatment are being added. Each will name the clinic, how long after treatment it was taken, and whether lighting matched.

RECOVERY AND YOUR FLIGHT

What the days after look like

  1. Day 0–3

Redness and swelling at the corners, bruising if combined with eyelid surgery. Keep the area clean and dry as instructed.

  2. Around day 5–7

Stitch removal and a check, commonly in this window.

  3. Flying home

Commonly about a week after surgery, after stitch removal. Confirm the earliest date with your surgeon before booking.

  4. Month 1–6

Scars at the corners are pink at first and fade gradually over months. Some people scar more visibly than others.

HONESTLY

When we would tell you not to book it

  • Your eyes are already close-set. Opening the corners can make the face look harsh.
  • You are deciding from a filtered photo rather than measurements.
  • You tend to form thick or raised scars and have not discussed it.
  • You cannot stay long enough for stitch removal before flying.

HOW WE CHOOSE YOUR CLINIC

We vet the clinics first.
Then we match you to the doctor.

Seoul has hundreds of clinics selling Epicanthoplasty (eye corner surgery). We work with a short list that meets five conditions, and introduce you to the one or two doctors who fit your concern, your dates and your budget.

  1. 01

The consulting doctor is the treating doctor

We ask every clinic who actually holds the needle. A clinic that hands you to someone else after the consultation does not make our list.

  2. 02

Product, device and dose are named

“Premium booster” is not an answer. We only work with clinics that tell you the brand, the volume and the machine before you sit in the chair.

  3. 03

A written quote, per unit or per cc

So you can compare two clinics on the same scope rather than two totals that measure different things.

  4. 04

A doctor willing to say “not this”

We listen for it in consultations we sit in on. A clinic that agrees to everything is selling, not advising.

  5. 05

Someone to contact after you fly home

A named contact and channel for follow-up questions, agreed before treatment rather than discovered after.

HOW IT WORKS

From your brief to the consultation room

  1. 01

    Your brief

Your concern, what you want to keep, your dates and your budget. No photo required.

  2. 02

    Two or three doctors

From clinics we have already vetted, chosen for your concern and your timeline, not whoever pays most.

  3. 03

    Written quotes, side by side

Same scope, per unit or per cc, with anything not included listed.

  4. 04

    With you on the day

An interpreter in the consultation room, and the option to walk away.

  5. 05

    After you fly home

We stay the contact for practical questions. Medical follow-up stays with your doctor.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK

Epicanthoplasty (eye corner surgery): the short answers

How much is epicanthoplasty in Korea?

On one surgical price list we use: about $355 for inner or upper corner, $430 for outer or lower, $715 for dual (two corners at once), and $1,070 for inner corner reversal, VAT 10% excluded.

Can it be reversed?

Reversal surgery exists, but it is more difficult and the result is less predictable than the first operation. Treat corner surgery as hard to undo.

Will there be a scar?

Yes, a small one at the corner. It usually fades over months, but how visible it stays varies between people.

Should I do it with double eyelid surgery?

Often they are planned together, because the inner fold affects the crease shape. Your surgeon should explain whether the corner procedure is needed for the shape you want, or whether the crease alone is enough.
