What the days after look like

Local anaesthesia. Swelling of the upper lip. You go back to your hotel the same day.
- Day 5–7
Stitches removed at follow-up. Stay until then.
- Week 2–4
Scar is pink and noticeable up close. Sunscreen and any scar care the surgeon recommends.
- Month 3–12
The scar fades and softens gradually. Some people need scar treatment later.
