Dermal fillers in Korea: Korean or imported HA, how many cc, and what to ask before the needle
Hyaluronic acid filler adds volume or shape to areas such as the lips, chin, nasolabial folds or under-eye hollows. The brand and the number of cc decide most of the price, so ask for both in writing. Seoul price: $65–$355.

RECOVERY AND YOUR FLIGHT
What the days after look like
- Day 0–3
Swelling and sometimes bruising. Lips swell the most and can look overdone for a couple of days.
- Week 1–2
Swelling settles and the shape you will keep becomes clear.
- Any time
Increasing pain, skin turning pale, grey or dusky, or vision changes need the clinic straight away. These are rare signs of a blocked blood vessel and need prompt treatment.
HONESTLY
When we would tell you not to book it
- You fly home in two days and want lip filler. Expect swelling in your photos.
- The clinic will not name the brand or the cc. "Premium filler" is not an answer.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an active skin infection in the area.
- You want a permanent result. HA filler is temporary.

Dermal fillers by brand: the short answers
How much is filler in Korea?
Per cc in Seoul: about $65–$105 for Korean HA fillers, $180–$285 for imported brands such as Belotero, Juvederm or Restylane, and around $355 for specialty areas with imported filler. SkinVive 0.5cc is about $215.
Korean or imported filler?
Both are hyaluronic acid. Products differ in firmness, how they spread and how long they last, and the doctor chooses by area. Decide with the doctor, then compare clinics on the same product and cc.
Is filler risky?
Swelling and bruising are common. A rare but serious risk is filler entering or pressing on a blood vessel, which needs immediate treatment; ask the clinic how it handles that and whether it keeps a dissolving agent on site.
Can filler be removed?
HA filler can usually be dissolved with an enzyme injection by a doctor.
Botox and filler on the same day?
Often yes. The doctor decides the order.
