RECOVERY AND YOUR FLIGHT
What the days after look like
- Day 0–1
Sedation or general anaesthesia depending on the area. Compression garment on immediately. Fluid leakage from small incisions is normal.
- Day 3–7
Bruising and soreness. Follow-up and stitch check before you fly, usually within the first week.
- Week 1–6
Keep wearing the garment as instructed. On a long flight after body surgery, move often, stay hydrated, and ask about clot prevention.
- Month 3–6
Firmness and swelling settle and the shape becomes clear.

Liposuction: the short answers
How much is lipo in Korea?
On the list we use: double chin about $710, arms about $1,070 to $1,430, bra line or flanks about $1,070 to $1,430, back about $1,790, full abdomen or thighs about $2,140. Prices exclude 10% VAT.
How long should I stay?
At least until the first follow-up, usually about a week, and longer for larger areas. The surgeon decides when you can fly.
Can the fat come back?
The removed fat cells do not return, but remaining fat can grow with weight gain.
Do I need a compression garment?
Yes, usually for several weeks. Check whether it is included in the quote.
