Facelift in Korea: mini, full or with the neck, and how long you really need to stay
A facelift removes excess skin and repositions deeper tissue, which no device can do. It needs a longer stay than most visitors plan for, so decide the dates with the surgeon first. Seoul price: $2,500–$9,285.

RECOVERY AND YOUR FLIGHT
What the days after look like
- Day 0–2
Usually general anaesthesia. A drain and compression bandage, and often one night under observation. Ask in advance whether an overnight stay is included.
- Day 7–14
Stitches removed in stages. Bruising and swelling still visible. Plan to stay until the surgeon has done the final check, often around two weeks.
- Week 2–6
Most visible swelling settles. After surgery, a long flight carries a higher clot risk; ask the surgeon about timing, stockings and moving during the flight.
- Month 3–12
Numbness and firmness fade, and scars mature. The result is judged at several months.
HONESTLY
When we would tell you not to book it
- You have under ten days in Seoul.
- You smoke and cannot stop around the surgery. It affects healing; tell the surgeon.
- Your concern is texture or fine lines. A facelift does not change skin quality.
- You have health conditions or medicines you have not discussed, especially blood thinners.

We ask every clinic who actually holds the needle. A clinic that hands you to someone else after the consultation does not make our list.

“Premium booster” is not an answer. We only work with clinics that tell you the brand, the volume and the machine before you sit in the chair.

A written quote, per unit or per cc
So you can compare two clinics on the same scope rather than two totals that measure different things.

We listen for it in consultations we sit in on. A clinic that agrees to everything is selling, not advising.

Facelift: the short answers
How much is a facelift in Korea?
On the list we use: mini facelift about $4,640, facelift about $7,860, facelift with neck about $9,290. Prices exclude 10% VAT.
Can I do a neck or forehead lift on its own?
Yes. On the same list, a neck lift is about $2,860 and a forehead lift about $2,500, excluding VAT.
When can I fly home?
Only after the surgeon clears you at follow-up. Book a flexible ticket; there is no fixed day that applies to everyone.
Facelift or Ultherapy?
Devices tighten; surgery removes excess skin. If there is real excess skin, a device will disappoint you.
Will the scars show?
Incisions are placed around the ear and hairline and fade over months. Ask to see where they will be on your face.
